Data Protection and Recovery

For data protection and recovery purposes, the CSL makes nightly data backups of all project space and home directories in the AFS and Windows file servers. The only exception are designated large data sets that the project has specified “no backup.” Data is retained for a minimum of 30 days, and a maximum of 60 days, depending on the fluctuations of the data backup process.

Local file systems and specialized research file servers are not included unless requested.
