CS Department Mailing Lists

The CSL manages CS Department mailing lists and provides custom mailing list services for departmental or research group use.

The following mailing lists are automatically managed by the CSL based on the criteria described below:

faculty

All faculty, visiting faculty, affiliated faculty, emeritus faculty, faculty affiliates, lecturers and senior department staff

Submissions are restricted to list members and CS staff. All other submissions are moderated by the CSL.

All enrolled CS graduate students, not including students on leave

Submissions are restricted to list members and CS faculty and staff. All other submissions are moderated by the CSL.

All enrolled CS Professional Masters program students.

All enrolled CS Data Engineering Masters program students.

All new CS graduate students (admitted and accepted for the fall term)

This list uses graduate students’ @cs.wisc.edu email address after a CS account has been created. Prior to that, the email address from the graduate school application database is used
Submissions are restricted to list members and CS faculty and staff. All other submissions are moderated by the CSL.

CS undergraduate major students

This list uses undergrad students’ WiscMail addresses
Submissions should be limited to announcements of importance to all or most undergraduate Computer Sciences major students.
Submissions are restricted to CS faculty and staff. All other submissions are moderated by the instructional program management staff.

CS certificate students

This list uses undergrad students WiscMail address
Submissions should be limited to announcements of importance to all or most undergraduate Computer Sciences certificate students.
Submissions are restricted to CS faculty and staff. All other submissions are moderated by the instructional program management staff

All CS staff, not including graduate assistants and student hourly employees

Submissions are restricted to list members and CS faculty and staff. All other submissions are moderated by the CSL.

CS Department administrative staff

Submissions are restricted to list members and CS faculty and staff. All other submissions are moderated by the CSL.

CSL staff including student staff

Submissions are restricted to list members. All other submissions are moderated by the CSL.
